Listen to Peechy Pod Episode 5: Period sex
If you are a menstruating person, you will probably go through up to 3,500 days of menstrual blood in your lifetime. That's 3,500 days that for many are associated with shame, preventing them from having sex. But why is showing your blood in sexual relations such an issue, and what if we just call "period sex" "sex"?
Period sex
NB: The Podcast is in Danish
Emma Libner, who is behind the Instagram profile kh_underlivet, and Peech ambassador Kathrine Graa discuss period sex in all its red shades, and offer tips on how to avoid irreversible blood stains on the top mattress and why it can actually be extra nice to have sex when you're menstruating.
You should expect it to get a little messy, but as they explain, that's not necessarily a bad thing: Aftercare concentrated on cleaning, in fact, can be pretty cute. Blood isn't unhygienic or gross, but it can still be hard to talk about - in the podcast, Emma and Kathrine explain where these misconceptions come from and discuss how to communicate with your sex partners about the blood that can be a natural part of sex once in a while.
In the Peechy Pod, we discuss sex, and all the ideas we have about sex, with clever and knowledgeable guests - but perhaps from a slightly different angle than the one you're used to from sexual education in primary school. Listen in and learn more about yourself and others.
