Maybe illness has changed the way you live in your body and how you can move it . For others, it can mean vaginal dryness, erection problems or a reduced sex drive. You can read our full article about sex and intimacy in old age here .

Products for the penis

Cock rings are placed around the base of the penis and work by inhibiting blood circulation. Due to the pressure from the ring, the blood will stay in the penis for longer, and you can thus experience a stronger and harder erection. Some also find that they last longer and that an orgasm can feel more intense. A vibrating cock ring is ideal for stimulating both yourself and a partner; it is particularly good for clitoral stimulation or vibration on the scrotum. Please note that using a cock ring should not be painful, and that it should be used for a maximum of 30 minutes at a time. Read more about cock rings here .

Penis sleeves are products that surround and stimulate the penis. The inside of the penis sleeves is equipped with soft and stimulating textures, which in combination with the vacuum created, takes the experience of a handjob to completely new heights. Remember to use water-based lubricant with your penis sleeve.

Tip! For ejaculation without an erection, you can use a regular vibrator to stimulate the penis.

Products for the clitoris

Vacuum vibrators – also known as clitoral stimulators – stimulate the clitoris indirectly. The clitoris is a large, four-armed organ located inside the pelvis. A stimulator works by enclosing the clitoral head, creating a vacuum and emitting air waves that can propagate throughout the clitoris, providing intense and deep stimulation. Read more here .

"Regular" vibrators come in many sizes and shapes, and can be used directly on the clitoral head or moved over other erogenous zones on the body. A vibrator is the perfect tool for exploring your body and getting to know yourself better.

Lubricants

Lubricant is a transparent gel that reduces friction during penetration during sex or using sex toys. If you experience vaginal dryness, it can challenge your intimate life. It is very common for the mucous membranes in the vagina to become dry during and after menopause. Lubricant can be used for all types of sex: Both masturbation, oral sex and penetrative sex.

Water-based lubricants are known as the most versatile type of lubricant. They can be used with all materials and are easy to wash off. Our own lubricant, Glide & Slide, is also glycerin-free – for people in or after menopause, glycerin-free lubricants are the best choice.

Oil-based lubricants provide long-lasting lubrication as they are absorbed very slowly into the skin. However, be aware that oil-based lubricants cannot be used with condoms as the oil can break them down.

Silicone-based lubricant can be used with condoms, is hypoallergenic and good for those with sensitive intimate mucous membranes. Silicone-based lubricant is good for long-term use, as it is not absorbed by the skin, and you therefore do not have to reapply as often. However, silicone-based lubricant has the disadvantage that it cannot be used with silicone sex toys, as it can break down the surface of the sex toy.

Products for the prostate

The prostate gland – also known as the bladder neck gland – sits below the bladder and surrounds the urethra. When men with penises become aroused, the gland swells and begins to produce seminal fluid. Many men with penises experience problems urinating as they age because the prostate tends to grow over time due to the hormone testosterone.

Anyone can enjoy anal stimulation, regardless of sexuality or age. If you have the courage to move past the prejudices, there are actually many benefits to stimulating the prostate. First of all, prostate massage and anal stimulation in general can be an obvious choice for people with erectile dysfunction. Prostate massage is used by some doctors to treat an inflamed prostate, for erectile dysfunction (problems with getting and/or maintaining an erection) and as a prevention of prostate cancer. You can read more about myths, facts and guidance on prostate massage in our article here .

Wand vibrators

The wand vibrator was known as a massager for sore muscles when it first saw the light of day. 50 years later, it is known and loved as a sex toy, and for many also a symbol of sexual liberation. You can read more about the history of the wand vibrator here .

What is special about a wand vibrator is that it has a very large motor, which ensures a lot of power. A wand will therefore be perfect for those of you who have reduced sensitivity. A wand vibrator is equipped with a large head, so it can stimulate a large area. You can use it on the clitoris, the perineum, the head of the penis and other erogenous zones – and of course it also serves as a massager for sore muscles.

Products for penetration

Some vibrators can be inserted like a dildo, and here there is a real opportunity to experience intense orgasms. The shape is often curved, so it can stimulate the g-zone when you turn it towards the stomach.

If you want to experience simultaneous stimulation of both the clitoris and the g-zone, the rabbit vibrator is an obvious choice. It is like a g-zone vibrator, but with an extra part that is designed to pamper the clitoris while you have it inside. Read a review of the Snail Vibe rabbit vibrator below.

»After several years of “drought”, I became aware of Peech, and after many attempts, I ordered the Snail Vibe. It looks a bit mysterious, and I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to use it. But when I did - gasp! So I would like to tell you that a middle-aged/old single woman of 73 years old like me can also benefit greatly from getting some toys!«

Tip! If you experience pain during penetration, we recommend using a dilator , as the vagina can lose its natural moisture production and become narrower during and after menopause.

Pelvic floor products

The pelvic floor muscles support the bladder, rectum, and uterus, if you have one. A healthy and flexible pelvic floor is important for reducing discomfort such as incontinence and pain during penetration. At the same time, a flexible pelvic floor can increase blood flow to the genitals, which increases pleasure and natural lubrication, strengthens erections, and intensifies orgasms.

Both training and relaxation are essential to keeping your pelvic floor flexible. In other words, it is just as important to contract as it is to relax the muscles. Read more about pelvic floor training for people with a penis here and people with a vagina here .

Tip! If you experience pain during vaginal penetration, we recommend using Ohnut Buffer Rings.

Focus on intimacy

There are so many different ways to be intimate – either with yourself or with a partner. It might be a good idea to rethink the possibilities of the sexual space by paying special attention to sensuality. For example, you can experiment with different temperatures, blindfolding, or moving a fountain around your body.

Massaging the body and exploring the erogenous zones can be both a relaxing and arousing activity. You can either treat yourself to a massage or you can do a partner massage . There are special types of massage, such as nuru massage and tantra massage. – you can read more by clicking on the various links.

Storage and cleaning

We recommend that sex toys and sexual aids be stored in a dry and dark place, as moisture and sunlight can damage the materials. Good storage places include fabric bags, boxes or the drawer in the bedside table.

It is a really good habit to clean sex toys both before and after use. It is both for your hygiene, but also to care for and extend the shelf life of your products. You can read more in our guide to cleaning here and see a selection of cleaning products below.
