Sex og menstruation

Sex and menstruation

Sex and menstruation are two words that have been made very taboo, especially when they occur in the same sentence. It's a shame, because they can actually have a lot to do with each other.

Many people experience a change in their sex drive during menstruation due to hormonal changes. Either with very high sex drive or very low sex drive.

Sex with yourself

Many people experience a more introverted energy during menstruation and therefore most want to be in their own bubble and have sex with themselves. It is a wonderful opportunity to feel connected to oneself and honor this sacred time of the month. If you have menstrual cramps, it probably does not just give rise to the urge to have sex. But having an orgasm can actually have a pain-relieving effect. If you do not feel like the big thing, you can try giving yourself a little quick clitoral orgasm with your fingers or Vibrator / stimulator. It can be a quick form of pain relief that also triggers some good pleasure hormones.

Sex with a partner
If you want to have sex with a partner, there can be different approaches to it. If you want very primal sex, get loose and get messy with it. If you do not feel like getting blood around, there are various things you can do. For example, lie on a towel or have sex in the bath. If you are very sensitive and do not feel like internal stimulation, you can instead use stimulation of the clitoris, labia, nipples, neck, inner thighs… be creative. Sex can be so much more than penetration.

Enjoy!

Three tips

- Listen to your body and what it needs and wants

- Remember that it is completely normal to have both a strong desire for sex and no desire for sex during menstruation

- Start gently and slowly increase intensity if you want sex during menstruation, as the abdomen is often more sensitive in this part of the cycle.
