How do you train your pelvic floor?

You may need to train your pelvic floor after childbirth because you experience inconsistency or for some other reason. Read on for tips on how to train your pelvic floor with Inmi vibration pillow.

The pelvic floor is max 1 centimeter thick, so it's not always easy to feel when you tighten it. You can check if you're stretching correctly by placing two fingers between the anus and your genitals - it should feel stretched. You can exercise your pelvic floor while standing, sitting or lying down. It's important not to overtrain your pelvic floor. If you know your pelvic floor is working optimally, don't overtrain it - you will experience discomfort as you risk overstretching.


How do I train my pelvic floor with the Inmi vibration pillow?

When you start with pelvic floor training, it is recommended to train several times a day. As your muscles build up, you can train two to three times a week. The workout can last between 5-10 minutes. According to physiotherapists and occupational therapists from South-West Jutland Hospital, 10 squats of 5 seconds in 3 sets are recommended. At the start of your workout, it's not important to be able to complete the set. The important thing is that you work towards it. A strong pelvic floor should be able to do 20 squeezes lasting five seconds and one squeeze lasting one minute. You can complete the workout on your Inmi vibration pillow without turning it on. While sitting on the pillow, you can feel how you experience contact with your pelvic floor. When you're done, you can use the cushion as usual.
